PGMOL Statement
“After VAR review, the referee overturned original yellow card to Caicedo and issued red for serious foul play,” Premier League Match Centre post read. Referee say: “Chelsea 25 makes challenge with excessive force and endangers safety of opponent, final decision red card.”

Caicedo Suspension: Matches He Go Miss
Red card for serious foul play mean automatic three-game ban. Caicedo go miss:
- Midweek clash with Leeds United at Elland Road
- Bournemouth (Dec 6)
- Everton (Dec 13)
He fit play Champions League game vs Atalanta (Dec 9), and return in domestic cup against Cardiff City (FA Cup, Dec 16). Caicedo no go play Premier League until trip to Newcastle United on Dec 20, meaning Maresca go lose key midfield enforcer for three weeks.
